The 20’x 20’x 20’ interior room served as the dining room. The table’s design of an elongated octagon mirrored the surrounding rooms.

A 16-foot long skylight topped the ceiling, and
provided ample light to this interior space. The
skylight has a set of shutters to block the sun in
the heat of summer. |

After the house left the Jefferson family, the cube
room was altered and became a two-level space with a staircase in the southeast corner leading to an attic. Before the walls were plastered in 2004, the ghost marks showing where the staircase had been after Jefferson's time were still visible. |
