Friends of the Parkway

The Poplar Forest Parkway and trail system welcome thousands of visitors each year! Designed to showcase the historic landscape and lead guests through the plantation grounds with views of the agricultural and natural landscape, the Parkway expands history beyond the walls of Jefferson’s retreat home.

Whether it’s your first time visiting the Parkway or you’re a long-time friend and donor, you can protect the historic landscape, help maintain the road and trail system, and provide community opportunities for recreation and enjoyment by becoming a Friends of the Parkway member.

As a member, your support will help improve and protect this beloved historic landscape. By making a minimum donation of $5 per month to our Parkway Annual Fund, you’ll receive access to exclusive benefits!

$5 per month or a one-time gift of $40+

• Unlimited admission for one to visit Jefferson’s personal retreat, 10% discount on event admission, 10% discount on Poplar Forest Museum Shop purchases, subscription to bi-annual Notes on State of Poplar Forest newsletter, monthly e-newsletter, and recognition as a Friend of the Parkway in our Annual Report.

$10 Per month or a one-time gift of $75+

• Unlimited admission for two to visit Jefferson’s personal retreat, 10% discount on event admission, 10% discount on Poplar Forest Museum Shop purchases, subscription to bi-annual Notes on State of Poplar Forest newsletter, monthly e-newsletter, recognition as a Friend of the Parkway in our Annual Report, and one free registration for the annual Face the Forest 5K Obstacle Course Run.

$15 per month or a one-time gift of $125+

• Unlimited admission for two adults and all household children under 18 to visit Jefferson’s personal retreat, 10% discount on event admission, 10% discount on Poplar Forest Museum Shop purchases, subscription to bi-annual Notes on State of Poplar Forest newsletter, monthly e-newsletter, recognition as a Friend of the Parkway in our Annual Report, two free registrations for the annual Face the Forest 5K Obstacle Course Run, and a Poplar Forest Parkway premium item.

Four-Legged Friends of the Parkway

• Pets can be members too! The many dogs who regularly visit are a welcomed site on the Parkway and trails. Make a special gift to include your four-legged family member in the annual Four-Legged Friends of the Parkway roster.
• When giving online, please select “Make this an honorarium or memorial gift” and list your dog’s name under “Honoree’s Name”. Make sure to note they are a Four-Legged Friend of the Parkway.
