Ever wonder what it would be like to work on the archaeology of Mr. Jefferson’s retreat home? Join Poplar Forest’s archaeologists on a 90-minute walking tour of their latest project, the archaeology of the new Poplar Forest Parkway. Explore the course of the road and where it intersects with historic aspects of the property. Comfortable walking shoes are necessary!

In addition to the tour, the Poplar Forest Archaeology Lab will be open all day. Stop in and see some of the archaeologists’ favorite artifacts that have been found on the property, and hear what they tell us about life at Poplar Forest.
